Welcome to the home of
Emerging Artists in Leeds

Rebel Roots Theatre Company is a Leeds-based company dedicated to supporting and developing emerging artists, with a focus on working-class voices. We create bold, accessible theatre that reflects real Northern lives, while opening doors for new talent to grow, collaborate, and be seen.

We bring performances into local pubs, community venues, and non-traditional spaces - making theatre both financially accessible and rooted in the places and people it represents.

Our mission is simple: real stories, real people — creating theatre that works for all.

Our Goals

1.) Champion and develop emerging artists, particularly those from working-class backgrounds
2.) Create authentic work that reflects Northern working-class experiences
3.) Provide accessible opportunities, keeping theatre affordable for both artists and audiences
4.) Support and collaborate with local venues and community spaces, bringing theatre directly to the people
